Important Rules and Regulations to Follow

This is not a holiday. Performing Hajj or Umrah is an act of worship for the sake of Allah. It requires leaving behind comfort, routine, and personal preferences to answer Allah’s call with patience and humility.

All luxury, hotels, and worldly status are reduced to two simple pieces of cloth. You respond to Allah’s invitation by reciting “Labaik Allahumma Labaik” and standing before your Creator in submission.

Packages and Pricing

  • It is essential to thoroughly research Hajj and Umrah packages before making a decision.
  • Our staff will provide only accurate and verified package information.
  • All prices are quoted in Saudi Riyals.
  • If the price of a package decreases after purchase, you will be responsible for the price difference.
  • All reservations are subject to availability and confirmation.
  • Packages, services, and schedules may change without prior notice.
  • Hotel ratings are assigned by the Saudi Ministry of Tourism and do not follow international rating standards.

Visa and Documentation

  • It is the pilgrim’s responsibility to ensure all required documents are correctly submitted during the visa application process.
  • We are not responsible for visa rejections or denials.
  • Once an electronic visa number has been applied for on your behalf, payment becomes mandatory.
  • Passports and all supporting documents should be submitted at least three weeks before departure.
  • Always double-check your travel documents before leaving home.

Airport and Travel Guidelines

  • You must arrive at the airport at least three to four hours before departure.
  • Be aware of your airline’s luggage allowance before traveling.
  • Your luggage remains your responsibility throughout the journey.
  • Liquids exceeding 100 milliliters are not permitted in luggage.
  • Always check your luggage when loading or unloading from buses or taxis.
  • Attach the provided luggage tags for identification purposes.
  • Keep all essential medicines in your hand luggage, along with prescriptions and medical records.
  • Dry food items are highly recommended.
  • Carry two to three days’ worth of emergency supplies in your hand luggage.

Arrival in Saudi Arabia

  • Most Umrah travelers are now processed at the Hajj terminal, except passengers flying with British Airways or Saudi Airlines.
  • You may be required to remain seated on the aircraft and then transported to the Hajj terminal by coach.
  • Hajj terminal operations are managed by government authorities and are beyond our control.
  • The customs and immigration process may take five hours or more.
  • Overall processing time can extend to eight to twelve hours or longer.
  • The journey from the airport to Makkah residence can take eight to twelve hours on average and may exceed twelve hours in some cases.
  • Please remain patient, as delays are common due to the large number of pilgrims.

Representatives and Identification

  • A Dar Al Eiman representative will be waiting outside the terminal to escort you.
  • After completing immigration, baggage claim, and customs, locate a Dar Al Eiman representative or show your issued wristband.
  • Wristbands must be worn at all times for security purposes.
  • Keep your passport with you at all times during the journey.
  • Marketing personnel are not allowed inside the terminal by the Ministry of Hajj.

Group Travel Rules

  • Hajj and Umrah procedures are different, although flights depart from the same Hajj terminal.
  • You must follow the instructions of the assigned group leader at all times.
  • Due to the massive number of pilgrims, staying in one place is often not possible.
  • Always remain with the group and strictly follow directions.
  • Be mentally prepared to be separated from family members during Hajj.
  • Seating together with family members cannot be guaranteed.

Money and Communication

  • Purchase a Saudi SIM card upon arrival at Jeddah airport so it can be registered in your name.
  • Carry British pounds instead of traveler’s cheques.
  • Currency exchange is available at Saudi banks.
  • Never carry all your money with you.
  • Keep only a small amount of cash on hand at any given time.

Flights and Timing

  • Monitor the arrival and departure screens at the airport carefully.
  • Arriving on time is your responsibility.
  • Any fees resulting from missed flights will be borne by the pilgrim.
  • Leave home early enough to account for traffic, weather, road conditions, and local regulations.

Health and Special Needs

  • Inform us of any disability or serious medical condition before booking confirmation.
  • This allows us to attempt suitable arrangements where possible.
  • Keep all medications accessible in carry-on luggage.

Dates, Itinerary, and Meals

  • Hajj dates are determined by the Hijri lunar calendar.
  • Hotel bookings during Hajj are based on Hijri dates.
  • Itineraries may change due to moon sightings.
  • Meals are included in all packages and are arranged through external catering services.
  • On certain days, such as the 6th, 7th, and 12th of Dhul Hijjah, meals may be delayed or may not arrive.
  • Meal selection is decided by the majority of the group.
